Owner, Instructor

I have practiced yoga on and off for the last fourteen years. In 2021 I began to deepen my yoga and meditation practice, changing it from the occasional work out to a daily lifestyle. This ultimately led to an incredible transformation within, and physically as well. I fell in love with yoga once I noticed the beneficial impact it had on my life and others around me. I fell in love with it even more when others began to notice the positive shifts it had created in my life. Yoga and meditation have been truly transformational for me, and my goal is to share these healing applications with others who could benefit.

Emma began practicing yoga ten years ago to manage lower back pain, and as a result she fell in love with the yoga philosophy (as well as the practice). She loves balancing, twisting, heart-opener, and hip opening asanas in her yoga flows, and completed her yoga teacher training at a Houston heated vinyasa studio. When not thinking about yoga, Emma loves to garden, read, and spend time with her Dog

I started learning and studying Hatha Yoga and Pranayama well over 20 years ago. My first class was at the Health and Vitality Institute in NW Houston with Hanif Akima. I wanted to learn everything I could as a young adult in the era of flip phones and printed driving directions. I tried different styles and trends, but always came back to mindful meditation and asana practice. Over the past 20 years I have lived a full life; I pursued higher education, had a career, competed in martial arts, travelled, gained weight, made a family, pursued even higher education, and loved so many pets. The constant through it all was my faith and yoga. My purpose is to teach you well and encourage you to go find stillness and peace on your own. “Our rational minds can never understand what has happened, but our hearts, if we can keep them open to God, will find their own intuitive way.” -Ram Dass

I started practicing yoga in 2018 for the physical benefits and soon realized that it was not only helping me on the mat but off the mat as well. Yoga class quickly became where I found contentment, self awareness and a mind/body connection. I believe yoga completely changed my life and after realizing the healing benefits I knew I wanted to become a yoga teacher and help others heal on their own journey as well. It is very important to me to create a safe empowering environment where people can release and recharge with no judgment and all love.

I once heard yoga described as “Your Own Great Awareness”. My love of physical movement led me to yoga. Each step of my journey has brought greater awareness about the importance of connecting, building, and nourishing my spirit, mind, and body. Yoga keeps me healthy, strong, and grounded. I became a yoga teacher to share with others the knowledge, clarity, and empowerment my teachers shared with me. I believe the teachings of yoga can be applied both on and off the mat and we, as a community, can all benefit from adopting a personal practice. I have practiced yoga for over a decade, but my teacher training has just begun. I earned my 200-RYT in 2019 with One-Yoga in Wilmington, DE. I am trained in classic Hatha yoga with additional trainings in Yin Yoga and Myofascial Release. I consider myself forever a student and am currently working towards my 500-hour certification.

Yoga became a part of my life four years ago. It became the center of my life when I received my 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate in October 2022. I love studying all different types of yoga. I also love to study, neuroscience and anatomy, and how it connects with the mind and body with movement. I enjoy integrating this information into my classes. I believe that sound can help calm and heal our nervous systems and is also integrated into my classes. Life is full of highs and lows ups and downs. The practice of Yoga  has helped me find a place of balance in the world and within myself. I love to help others find their balance as well.
