What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra (YN) also known as Yogic Sleep, can be restful, restorative, healing and energizing. It has the power to transform at deep levels which allows us to become more of who we truly are. It supports our journey to live from awareness of our true Self with clarity, purpose and confidence.

It is a subtle and powerful practice which can help you heal, grow and manage the stress and triggers of every-day life. YN also holds the potential to release deep-seated traumas and guide our awareness toward our most authentic self.

It is the art of non-doing. It is just listening and being. Like floating, YN happens when we stop trying, efforting, doing, struggling, and allow ourselves to be and feel.

YN brings us to the edge of sleep. It does not replace sleep. Throughout our YN practice we are able to explore the realm of consciousness from a calm, receptive position. This can prepare us for sleep, but does not replace it.
